The suburb's Census profile explains the second half of the job. With 55.6% of occupied dwellings carrying a mortgage — the highest share of any suburb in this pack — and a median age of 27, Nirimba households are young, recently established and cost-aware. Two things follow.
The first is that the equipment is new and mostly still under warranty. That is worth protecting, and protecting it is largely a paperwork exercise: if a chlorinator cell or a pump fails early, a warranty claim goes far more smoothly when there is a record showing the water was kept in range. We keep readings and service dates for exactly that reason. That single document is often the difference between a claim being accepted and being argued about.
The second is that nobody here wants to be sold something. A small pool is quick to service, which is reflected in what it costs — but skipping visits costs more on a small pool than on a big one, because there is no volume to absorb the drift. If you would rather manage the water yourself between visits, we will show you the two readings worth checking and leave you to it.
Then there is the shape of the yards. Compact blocks tend to box a pool in — house on one side, fence on the other. That keeps leaf litter out, which genuinely helps. It also traps heat, which does not. A pool sitting a few degrees warmer all summer burns sanitiser faster and grows algae more readily in any corner that stays shaded, so on an enclosed pool the shaded end is watched more closely than the sunny one.
