That changes what is worth buying. Consumables you will certainly use are cheaper in quantity and worth holding. Specialty products you might not need are not — several degrade in storage, and buying ahead of a problem you do not have is money left in a shed.

How long does liquid chlorine keep?

It loses strength steadily, and faster in heat and light. Buying a summer's worth in October means dosing with something weaker than the label by February.

Can I store chemicals in the pool pump shed?

Sometimes, but not automatically — heat, damp and proximity to equipment all matter, and some products must never be stored beside each other. Ask before you commit to a spot.

What is worth buying in bulk?

Salt and chlorine, because you will certainly use them. Specialty products like flocculant are better bought when needed; several degrade in storage.

Do you deliver bulk orders?

Ask at the counter — it depends on the order and the destination. Most customers collect from Bulcock Street, a few minutes away.

What do I do with old or unwanted chemicals?
